The second national weekend training course “Intercultural learning through outdoor activities” took place from 23rd to 25th of August, in Banja E Pejes/Pecka Banja and gathered 20 young people from all over Kosovo, eager to better understand culture, causes of cultural clashes and develop sensitivity towards different cultures.
The training was realized through non-formal methods of experiential learning and number of simulation and role-play games followed by discussions and lectures, covering following topics:
- culture, cultural identity, diversity
- cultural clashes
- development of intercultural competences and sensitivity
- intercultural dialogue
During the final part of the training participants created and performed several theatre plays, portraying the processes of intercultural sensitivity development, while using examples often present in Kosovo society.
This training course is organized by GAIA, within the frame of ‘Regional Youth Action against Discrimination and Militarism’.
