Call for participants
Training Permaculture Teachers, Croatia, 24th – 30th of June, 2022
Training Permaculture Teachers is an international training course available to PDC holders from partner organizations involved in 3PEAS 2.0. The full list of partner organisations can be found at the end of this call.
This Training Course is for those who are already involved in permaculture education, but also those who are planning to get engaged. This Training Course complements PDC.
The course is intense and life changing and covers range of topics relevant for teaching permaculture:
- basics for working together,
- building learning culture,
- factors impacting learning,
- teaching and learning styles,
- pioneer teachers,
- formal and non-formal education,
- learning theory,
- body language,
- non-violent communication,
- teaching methods, tools and aids,
- rhythms of teaching,
- structure and flow of PDC.
The Training is based on Rosemary (Rowe) Morrow’s TPT course and will be facilitated by experienced permaculture teachers: Helena von Bothmer from Sweden and Mihaela Tsarchinska from Bulgaria.
WHERE?
The training course will take place in Croatia, in Vukomeric, at the Recycled Estate of ZMAG (Green Network of Activist Groups). https://www.zmag.hr/en/about-us/recycled-estate.html
WHEN?
The training will take place from 24th until 30th of June. Participants are expected to take part in the whole course, to arrive on 23rd of June and to depart on 1st of July.
COSTS
All the costs of food and accommodation will be covered by the training. Travel costs will be covered according to Erasmus+ rules (see the table below). Participation fee is based on a sliding scale from 50 to 90 Euro.
HOW TO APPLY?
You should be a holder of Permaculture Design Certificate, ideally earned through Permaculture as a Path to Peace projects. PDC from other courses are also welcome.
You should fill in the application form (available here: https://forms.gle/Rx7b8X4sruWz81T69 ), no later than 10th of May.
Partner organizations and maximum amount for travel costs reimbursement. Ideally, the participants should use environmentally friendly means of trasnport. Visa costs for participant from Kosovo will be fully reimbursed.
