CLIMATE ACTION DAY
LIVING LIBRARY
15.00 – 16.30, Friday 13
Red Hall, Youth and Sports Palace, Prishtina
Living library is an exchange event, where people offer their stories like libraries offer books for reading for a limited time. In this case, books are talking and readers are asking. This Living Library will bring stories about environmental and climate activists, their struggles, inspiration, victories and challenges.
The stories will be told by an animal rights activist, an ecofeminist, a nature conservationist, a river protector, local activists, climate activists and other inspiring Living books.
Many people around the world are fighting their local battles for rivers, mountains, animals, forests, people and future generations. Many people and communities are on the front line of climate change, many species are on the edge of extinction.
There are many great people in Kosovo who are part of the good side of the story. They provide voice for those who cannot be heard, they spread the knowledge, information and break taboos, they advocate for solution and justice and even bringing cases to the court. In Kosovo there are also people who are directly impacted by the coal fired power plants, polluted rivers, soil and air.
Their stories are rarely heard.
You are invited to join, to listen, to ask, to share!
Come on time, so you can sign up for your ‘book’ before others 🙂
