New participation fee 2024

As a new year started, GAIA is introducing a participation fee for persons who want to join activities abroad or in Kosovo. 

Those activities include educational activities, such as participating in training courses, seminars, workshops, study visits, and similar forms of non-formal education, as well as volunteering activities. This participation fee will be considered for most of the projects taking place abroad and in Kosovo, but it will not be expected for activities such as one-day workshops or events that will be taking place.

Even though many activities in which you would participate are voluntary-based, we are introducing the fee as a symbolic participation fee, which will support our future work. This donation will enable us to run the projects more easily and will reduce the risk of last-minute cancellations, a challenge that we often face. 

The idea is that, upon selection for a project, participants will make a donation in order to confirm their participation in a project.

It will be possible to participate in projects with 2 types of participation fee:

• Single participation in events, participation fee of 10€ per activity is proposed
• Multiple participation of one year duration, participation fee of 30€ for one year from the moment you pay, if you are interested in joining more events in the next period

Considering the resources put into a project, such as competences that volunteers obtain, having organized accommodation, materials, food, and often travel and visa costs covered, the fees can be considered as very reasonable, and we hope this will not stop you from participating. However, if you really cannot afford this participation fee, we would still support you in participating in various activities, and we could discuss the agreement.
